Hiya folks! Marcus Jeffrey here, author/artist/co-creator of Spartachick!

I’d like to start by thanking you all for checking out my site.  I know there are a lot of different search keywords that can lead individuals – such as yourselves – to Spartachick, and I appreciate you for sticking around long enough to read the ‘About’ page.

Spartachick is an ongoing adventure webcomic, profiling the life and times of one brave little chicken named Tarquinius.  Unfortunately, this means that most people will have to go all the way back to page one before they’ll have ANY idea what’s going on.  I apologize, but (as a peace offering) I’ve installed a ‘Tag Page’ feature that should help new readers get caught up.

Forced into exile by the despotic and treacherous regime of King Rabbit, Tarquinius must persevere in the face of great peril!  Should he fail, the chickens of his homeland, Coop Island, will be forced into an existence of servitude, squalor, and tragic suffering.

Spartachick was created by myself and a good friend, Chris Brideau, during the darkest, coldest, most boring months of the 2007-2008 academic year. Three-hour-long Medieval History lectures make for some surprisingly good brainstorming sessions!

A copyright has been registered for Spartachick as of 2008-02-20; Marcus Jeffrey is its owner.
